About Deep Creek Dispatch

Deep Creek Dispatch is the local news and visitor guide for Deep Creek Lake and the mountains of Western Maryland and West Virginia: Garrett and Allegany counties in Maryland and Mineral and Preston counties in West Virginia, from Oakland and Cumberland to Keyser and Kingwood.

We cover what matters to the people who live here and to those planning a visit: local government, schools, weather, real estate, events, and the lakes, trails, ski slopes and parks of the mountains.

Deep Creek Dispatch is published by Vik Media Group, a Florida company based in Miramar that runs a growing network of regional news and travel sites.
